3 Teeth Whitening Tips to Save Money on Dental Bills

feature

Dental work is NOT cheap, we can all agree on that. But with good dental hygiene, you can maintain great dental health and save money at the same time.

Keeping your teeth as white as possible might take a little more planning and a bit more work, but it’s well worth the HUNDREDS (if not thousands) of dollars that you save going to your dentist.

I decided to run a test by not going to a dentist for 1 year. I’ve seen a lot of success in keeping my teeth white, cavity-free, and

1. Buy a Teeth Whitening Kit

You can get these at a local Walmart or Walgreens in the area. Some, however, don’t have them in stock. It really depends. You can also go to walmart.com and place an online order.

Dentek Professional Cleaning Kit

This kit is relatively new on the market. The quality of these tools are obviously better when you visit a dental office. But for a DIY-cleaning and plaque eliminating solution…it’s a great choice.

Full Tooth Cleaner

Remove plaque and polish those hard-to-reach spaces in your mouth with this do-it-yourself teeth cleaning kit. The Moeckearla-brand cleaning kit seems to be the best of the three, but it’s a bit more expensive than the other options.

Cheapest Option Available

This dental kit is sold by Walgreens and is the simplest and cheapest option you can have. But it has the basics: a scalar, mirror, and dental pick to get rid of stuck tartar on the tooth.

2. Rinse Your Mouth Consistently

I’m an avid coffee drinker. If you are too, keep some water nearby to rinse your teeth.

Coffee, along with tea, soda, and citrus-infused drinks are notoriously HORRIBLE for your teeth color.

3. Establish a Better Tooth Brushing Technique

The best thing to do is to invest in an electronic, up-scale tooth brush. Manual tooth brushes work just as well.

There’s really no meaningful difference in whether you get those cheap one-button-push vibrate toothbrushes or a regular one.

Invest in a good toothbrush and quality mouth wash.

By doing simple, little things consistently, you’ll be able to avoid those MASSIVE dental bills down the line.

You never know how long you’ll live or how long you’ll need your teeth.

So take care of them!
